Stacey Keen – Many moons ago (90’s here) a few of us glued the wheels on a colleagues chair .
My boss (when i worked in the City) asked me to bank a hefty bit of cash, I got back to the office and told him they took most of the money and held it as over half of it was fake notes and he had to call the police to get a crime reference number. He he 58:51
Dan Atkinson – Can’t share too much detail but ‘faked’ a financial services bulletin and sent it around a previous firm. Clearly fake but was believed by a few advisers(I think one was that RDR was being cancelled)… and the compliance officer. One of the fake headlines was about fitness (physical) tests for compliance officers by the regulator- who he then phoned!!! The COO sat opposite him worked it out and there was MUCH laughter Thankfully all had a great sense of humour.59:13
Dan Atkinson – Another fun but simple one was to tape a small bit of tape to a colleague’s mouse over the laser… took a long time for him to twig. Not quite as extreme as the above.

Justin Gaffney – When I was managing an NHS team with several international recruits, including a guy from South Africa who was always ranking people. It was his day off, so we had my PA call him all crusted saying Immigration had raided the hospital and I was being held cause there was an issue with his visa, and I was suspected of illegally employing an undocumented migrant. She said he had to come in straight away with his passport and visa, to the boardroom where I was being held. He arrived all flustered within the hour….when he walked into the boardroom we surprised him with tea and cake and had a good laugh! 1:00:23

Robert John Reid – In my Money Management column I informed everyone that the FSA was asking you to weigh files to prove compliance and to use public weigh bridges. 5lbs for an iSA and 50lbs for a DB transfer. FSA informed me they had calls for the weigh bridge locations!! 1:02:27
