Answers to last weeks question of the podcast

What’s the strangest thing you’ve found in an unlikely place…

We’ll go first – I found a purple rubber widget (still no clue what it does) in my shoe!

Al McCann – I found a sticker promoting a Nottingham culture magazine stuck to the inside of my under-bed storage in a hostel. In San Francisco. 48:57

Kieran Kavanagh – I found myself running the London Marathon 3 times, the second time wasn’t even in London. 49:14

Simoney Kyriakou – I once put a carrot in a kettle but it was mostly an accident.   Then I forgot about it. That was the crucial mistake.   Wonder if @JamesCash4  and others still remember that? 49:48

Chris Daems – ‘mostly’ an accident! Tell me that, at some point, you boiled the kettle WITH the Carrot in?!

Simoney Kyriakou Well, I’d put my lunch in the work fridge, you see. It had ended frozen & my carrot needed to be defrosted. Someone was using the work microwave so, as I was boiling the kettle for my cup-a-soup, I put the carrot into it. I wrote about it here:

Chris Daems – Amazing! Can I share this story on

@CharlotteJDaems and I’s podcast? No worries if it’s a problem…but I think our audience will enjoy it!

Simoney Kyriakou – Go for it. It was a long time ago. But I still do reminisce!

Serena vander Meulen – My sister found a dead frog in her shoe when we were little! 53:47

Chris Daems – I wonder how that got there?!

Serena vander Meulen – It was totally squished!

Sebastian Riemann – I found some honesty and decency in the conservative head office. Then again, on reflection, this may have just been a dream…
